The Nell has the look and feel you would expect from a traditional English pub. Situated across the street form the Theatre Royal, it has long associations with London's literary and theatrical community. There is a tunnel, though now closed, from the cellar to the Theatre Royal and Doctor Johnston was reputedly a regular customer. The restaurant has seating for 30-35 and both pub and restaurant serve fish and chips £5.95, sausage and mash £4.95 plus newer varieties of pub food such as herb crepe £4.45, spinach and ricotta cannelloni £4.75. There are some interesting starters including duck pate with redcurrant jelly.
