Montague on the Gardens Hotel, Bloomsbury, London

Montague on the Gardens Hotel

15 Montague Street  Bloomsbury

Hotel Description
The Montague on the Gardens is full of pleasant surprises. First of all the scale of the hotel is not apparent from the outside. The award winning Georgian façade (London Borough of Camden – Best Business Frontage and Best Floral Hotel) leads into an interior where Edwardian influences abound. One does not expect the hotel to be as large as it is and yet succeed in maintaining an essential intimacy. There is something of the “best kept secret” about The Montague on the Garden. The Garden is another surprise, a large rectangular lawn with flowers and shrubs at the rear of the hotel and overlooked by the Conservatory and Terrace Bar, a splendid institution imparting a feeling of extreme wellbeing and which hosts The Jazz Garden jazz club on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings 5.30 – 8.30 pm. The Conservatory is the ideal place to enjoy afternoon tea or, if weather permits, one can use the Garden Terrace where the London summer is extended by heaters and an awning. Further use of the Garden is made by the Wood Deck BBQ, where a chef is on hand to prepare what must be London’s most secluded hamburger – yet another pleasant surprise!
Many hotels host weddings but not many have a wedding licence. Needless to say this is yet another unexpected embellishment of The Montague on The Gardens.
