White Lion Pub, Covent Garden, London

White Lion Pub

24 James Street  Covent Garden

The present building dates from 1888 but there has been a 'White Lion' on this site since 1237. Despite being in a busy tourist location the pub retains traditional high standards. The restaurant upstairs has room for 52 and is famous for its association with General Eisenhower who used the White Lion throughout his stay in London during World War II.
